Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Complix AI (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access the Service.

2. Description of service

Complix AI is an automated website compliance auditing tool that crawls publicly accessible web pages and generates informational reports covering accessibility, privacy, legal pages, eCommerce disclosures, security headers, and email/marketing compliance.

Reports are generated using automated checks and AI analysis. They are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice, a legal opinion, or a guarantee of compliance with any law or regulation.

3. Account registration

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@complixai.org of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scan websites you do not own or have explicit authorization to audit
• Use the Service to scan private, internal, or authentication-required pages without authorization
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, scan limits, or subscription restrictions
• Resell or redistribute report data without prior written consent
• Use automated scripts to access the Service outside of our documented API
• Upload or transmit malicious code or interfere with the Service’s operation

5. Subscription and billing

Paid plans are billed on a monthly recurring basis via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on each billing cycle. All charges are non-refundable except where required by law or where we offer a money-back guarantee (currently 14 days for new subscriptions).

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days’ notice.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, software, and content, is owned by Complix AI and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

Reports generated from your scans are provided to you for your own use. You retain ownership of your scan results but grant us a limited license to store and display them to provide the Service.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT REPORTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT. COMPLIANCE REPORTS DO NOT GUARANTEE ACTUAL LEGAL COMPLIANCE.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEGALLENS AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ANY RELIANCE ON REPORT FINDINGS.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Complix AI and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your use of the Service, or your scanning of third-party websites without authorization.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately.

11. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

12. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
